What is Stockholm Style?

Style in Stockholm, Sweden is a mix of trendy, functional, and modern, making it a great option for anyone to embrace in their own wardrobes. Rooted in quality basics, neutral colors, and understated pieces, Stockholm Style includes pieces that can be mixed and matched to create endless looks.

This aesthetic is super approachable especially if you’re just starting to find your personal style because it isn’t anything out of the ordinary, but it allows for personalization and unique additions. Layering and details that add a little edge are key: for instance, you can start with a white tank top and loose jeans, and throw on a few statement pieces like a striped tee, turtleneck sweater, patterned belt, slouchy bag, or tinted sunglasses.

Keep things loose, comfortable, and easy – you don’t need to over-do it! We’d recommend starting with the basics. Invest in simple tees in black, grey, and white, a few pairs of jeans you can wear on repeat, quality sweaters/sweatshirts, and a wool coat. From there, you can add on the bold accessories that will make your outfits feel more unique.
