What better way to discover the next big fashion trends than by traveling Down Under? I’ve just spent the past month in the heat of Australia’s summer, taking note of all styles that I believe will be hitting the Northern Hemisphere in a few months. While I didn’t have room in my suitcase for many purchases of my own, I’ve filled up my camera roll with images of the top 10 trends and standout pieces I spotted while shopping in Sydney, Melbourne, and Byron Bay. Now I’m sharing them all with you—plus a list of my favorite Australian brands you need to know at the end of this post.
1. Graphic Tees
I spotted oversized, playful graphic tees in both men’s and women’s sections, featuring bold lettering and bright colors. Prints of tropical destinations, fruits, cheeky sayings, and retro logos make them a fun spring/summer wardrobe addition.
2. Track Shorts
I’ve mentioned track shorts in a recent Substack post as a trend to look out for in 2025, and my prediction was confirmed with nearly every store stocking them. Often in bright colors and comfortable fabrics, track shorts are a warm-weather staple.
3. Textured/Patterned Shirts
A menswear trend that I’m happy to report is still going strong in 2025, textured/patterned short-sleeve button ups and polos are a go-to for effortless summer layering in Australia. Many featured subtle textures, florals, and stripes in neutral colors.
